To Whom It May Concern:
Hello my name is Tracy Vernon and I have recently graduated from the Deaf Studies program at the University of Arizona with an emphasis in Educational Interpreting. While in school, I was an interpreting intern at a high school where I could improve my interpreting skills while working with a certified interpreter. Interning has been both an interesting and exciting experience. I learned about many classroom situations that have given me strategy skills to effectively give power back to the student and for the student to have control over their learning. By supporting the student and interpreting what they have to say correctly allows their opinions and voices to be heard.
I am excited to use my skills to help deaf and hard of hearing children to succeed. I know that I can do this by being a part of your team. Enclosed in this portfolio is my resume, three letters of recommendation, my EIPA scores, samples of my interpreting that are examples to show that I am qualified to be an Educational Interpreter within your school district. Thank you for your time, I look forward to discussing my resume with you.

Sincerely,

Tracy M. Cluff
